Museum and Planetarium Field Trip

We had a great time on our field trip to the museum and the Planetarium.  Here are a bunch of pictures from that day.  Thanks to Mrs. Montgomery for sending me her pics to add to mine!

D.E.A.R. Time

I have introduced the BEST thing since sliced bread...we have started DEAR time in our classroom.  DEAR stands for Drop Everything And Read.  We are currently at 12 minutes of straight reading and we are building our stamina!

The first step is to select a book.  I got out the very coveted chapter books. 

Then select a comfy spot.....

These littles have grown so much this year! I am SO PROUD of them!

The Tower

So every year....I mean EVERY year, the kids in my class take the duplo blocks and try to make the highest tower in the world. I absolutely love watching them and listening to them share ideas on how to make it taller (especially after I say that they cannot stand on the chairs!) See??? Imagination and Engineering!!!
